The Centre for Deaf Studies carries out research on a range of issues related to Deaf communities and sign language. The Centre's philosophy requires the partnership of hearing and Deaf people in achieving insight and progress. We encourage Deaf sign language users to apply for our programme as research can be carried out in sign language as well as in text. Our mission is to advance the field of Deafhood in ways that support the Deaf community worldwide and inform hearing researchers from a range of disciplines. In addition we expect to make our research policy-related. |
